Dr. Agnes Sullivan  is an Advanced Certified Schema Therapist, Group Schema Therapist, Supervisor/Trainer and is Director of the Schema Therapy Institute in London, United Kingdom. She is an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Emotion Focused Couples Therapist.


Dr. Sullivan has been an ISST approved Director of Training in the UK since 2009, and is an active member of ISST’s Quality Assurance, Supervisor Skills Training and Brainstorming Sub-Committees.

Caio Rocha CSPsy AFBPs

Caio is a passionate and dedicated therapist with over 13 years of experience working with adults and adolescents. He studied clinical psychology in Brazil in 1998 at PUC-SP, graduating in 2003. After graduating, Caio moved first to the Netherlands and subsequently to the UK to study and specialized in many different approaches and areas in the field of psychology including; group therapy, therapeutic community approach, body therapy/biogenetics, DBT, Schema Therapy, and psychodrama.

Caio is compassionate and committed to his work. He specialized in personality disorders, addictions, treatment resistant and/or treatment failures and complex presentations in both adults and adolescents.

Dr Rachel Chandler Ph.D LMSW

Member of the International Society of Schema Therapy

Rachel is a licensed social worker and therapist providing psychotherapy in London and New York. Before obtaining her Masters in Social Work, Rachel completed a doctoral and post-doctoral fellowship at University College London in pharmacology and research in the area of chronic pain, and co-authored over 25 research papers. Rachel is completing Group Schema Therapy certification with the Schema Institute, running groups and working with clients and couples to help bring change for individuals and families who have been traumatised or disrupted by substance abuse or domestic violence.

Lissa Shortt

Member of the International Society of Schema Therapy

Lissa’s first degree was in Theology, since when she has pursued 18th century ceramics, writing and in 1991 completed a Post Graduate Certificate in education (PGCE) before teaching in London. Her short autobiographical book, Beyond Myself about her personal experience of the loss of two babies and struggle with ‘bulimia nervosa’ was published in 1986.

Lissa’s Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy was from Roehampton University. She studied for a year at the Institute of Group Analysis and holds a Diploma in Supervision from Westminster Pastoral Foundation (WPF). As well as her contribution as Centre Director, at CPT she is a Women’s psychoeducation Group leader.

Jansel Hews

Member of the International Society of Schema Therapy
Jansel is an accredited member of the BACP. She began her career as a nurse. She has since retrained in group and individual counselling at Westminster Pastoral Foundation and Roehampton University. Jansel works at the Schema Institute as a group facilitator and individual counsellor.

Cathy VaseyCathy Vasey

Cathy began her career as an Educational Psychologist in both state schools and private schools. She received BSc Psychology and MSc Educational Psychology from University College London.She has since trained as a Schema Therapist and works with individuals, groups and project work. In projects women/families made homeless by Domestic Violence.

Mike Exton


Mike is an architect specialising in supportive partnerships between business owners, designers and engineers to advance their professional goals.  Mike also trained as a counsellor and co-leads men’s addiction groups and works with individuals. His other interests are photography, life drawing and the visual arts, and he is a friend of the Royal Academy of Arts.
